Since the beginning of 1995, the company has invested about 200 million dollars in fixed assets, current assets, distribution infrastructure and marketing support of its products in Ukraine.
Moreover, in Ukraine with a help of P&G partners, Pringles chips, Vicks cold and flu medication, Blend-a-Med professional stomatological remedies, Max-Factor cosmetics, Hugo Boss perfumes and many other famous products are marketed. Since 2002 P&G brands are consistently becoming winners of a prestige festival-contest "Choice of the Year" proving to be the leaders in their product categories and the preferred brands of Ukrainian consumers. Starting from July 1st 2005 P&G's range of brands was increased by worldwide-known trademarks Wella and Londa. And in fall 2005 P&G has announced acquisition of another well-known company Gillette - company producing popular shaving products and other consumer goods under Gillette, Duracell, Braun and Oral-B trademarks. There are almost 2000 people currently employed by Procter & Gamble in Ukraine. Since the very beginning of P&G's operations in Ukraine, the company has invested heavily in the development of its distribution network. The fact that P&G brands are currently available throughout the country from big store chains to the smallest open markets is in many respects due to four Ukrainian companies working as P&G distributors - Sav-Service, PG-Trade, STV and Avito that together employ over 1000 Ukrainians. Procter & Gamble's activities in Ukraine are not only commercial. We see ourselves as a socially responsible company that cares for the community in which we work and live. Since coming to Ukraine, we have done our best to support those in need. Procter & Gamble Ukraine, in cooperation with the National Charitable Fund and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, granted more than USD 1.2 million to provide children's medical facilities, hospitals, and centers with the uniquely specialized medical equipment. On top, in Ukraine P&G runs several long-term social educational programs for young moms and pregnant woman, schoolchildren, professional dentists etc. The partnership between P&G and Ukraine is an enduring one. The Ukrainian market is very important to the company. P&G business growth rates in Ukraine are the highest in the world. We see sustainable progress in the country's economic and political spheres.
